Matt Vinson

Matt Vinson

Matt Vinson, a former Arkansas Razorback, played for the Hogs from 2010–2013 before graduating with a degree in Communications and a minor in Business. A respected leader, he was voted team captain by his peers in 2013, guiding Arkansas to a third-place finish at the College World Series. That same year, Vinson was selected in the MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks and went on to play one season in the minor leagues before retiring. He is remembered for his leadership, grit, and contributions during one of the Razorbacks' most successful eras.

Zack Cox
Baseball · Director, Hitting & Fielding

Zack Cox

Zach Cox, a former Arkansas Razorback and first-round draft pick, made his mark as one of the program's greatest hitters. In 2010, he set single-season school records with 102 hits and a .429 batting average, leading the SEC in hitting and earning All-American honors at third base. That same year, Cox was selected 25th overall in the MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals and went on to play seven professional seasons, later signing with the Miami Marlins and Detroit Tigers organizations. Known for his disciplined bat and power, he remains one of Arkansas baseball's most decorated hitters.

Carlos Lopez
Baseball · Director, Camps

Carlos Lopez

Carlos Lopez, a standout first baseman and outfielder at Cal State Fullerton, ranks fourth all-time in program history with 287 hits and a .338 career batting average. In 2013, he was drafted in the 10th round by the Miami Marlins after earning Big West Co-Player of the Year and All-American honors. Lopez went on to break the single-season hits record for the Greensboro Grasshoppers and played professionally from 2013–2019, compiling a career .304 batting average and earning four All-Star selections. He also starred in the Mexican League, where his consistency and leadership made him a fan favorite.

Will McEntire

Will McEntire

Will McEntire, a former Arkansas Razorback, pitched for the Hogs from 2020–2025, playing a key role in multiple postseason runs, including two trips to the College World Series. Over his career, he built an impressive résumé as a 6-year SEC veteran, 2-time SEC Champion, and finished Top 10 in program history in both appearances and strikeouts. McEntire was also a 3-time SEC Community Service and Academic Honor Roll honoree, the 2024 team leader in appearances, and a 4-time coach at Arkansas Summer Baseball Camps. Off the field, he earned his degree in Marketing with a Master's Certification in Business Special Projects.

Softball Staff

Tyler Foster

Tyler Foster

Tyler played collegiately at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK from 2010 to 2015. Following his baseball career, Tyler spent the past 10 years in the classroom, with a brief stint in Oklahoma and the rest of his tenure in Bentonville, AR. Tyler's background in education gives him an edge in his coaching skills, allowing him to connect with his players on a different level. In addition to being Director of Softball Operations at Legacy, Tyler also currently coaches Legacy Netherton.

Hallie Wacaser
Softball · Hitting & All Defense

Hallie Wacaser

Hallie Wacaser, from Centerton, Arkansas, was an outfielder for Florida State University's softball team. A star at Bentonville West High School, she was a three-time All-State selection, two-time Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, and a gold medalist with the USA U-17 National Team. At FSU, Wacaser was a key contributor, starting in nearly 50 games this past season while batting .260 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs, including a home run in the Women's College World Series semifinal. Off the field, she pursued a degree in exercise science.
